Sky Cute.Commons

In a large 1,000㎡ space with various items which make flexible learning styles possible.

■Group Study Room (in Sky Cute.Commons )

【Service hours】By 10 minutes before closing
【Capacity】4 rooms (1～4): 8 people a room
【Equipment】whiteboard, 50 inch display
【Application/Guide】
　・Please fill in the application web form
(up to 1 month in advance).
・Up to 3 hours a day.
　・It can be used by one person if it is for a web interview, etc. involving speech.
* Time extension is not available for single occupancy.
　・Connecting two rooms(1+2, 3+4) is possible. If you wish to extend your use, please send an e-mail at least one week prior to the date of use, indicating the date, time, number of people, and purpose of use.

* We ask for your cooperation in disinfecting hands, measuring CO2 concentration and ventilation.
* Not available for online classes. You should take them at classrooms designated by department offices.
* If you do not show up at least 30 minutes after the start time without prior notice, your reservation will be cancelled.
* Windows must be closed when opened. Always raise the blinds after taking them down.

■Workshop Space (in Sky Cute.Commons )

Seminar Room

Seminar Room is intended for classes in which materials in Central Library and Manuscript Library are used for education. Also, this room can be used for research by groups.
【Number of rooms】2 rooms（Seminar Room1, Seminar Room 2）
【Capacity】10 people on each room
【Equipments】
・50 inch display, whiteboard
・Cables (HDMI and RGB cables) and projector sets are also available for loan. If you want to use these items, please let us know when you submit your reservation request via e-mail.

【Application】
・Advance reservation is required.
・If you want to use the Seminar Room, please send an e-mail with the desired date and time, number of participants, names of all participants, and purpose of use to the contact below at least 3 days prior to the desired date of use (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays).

Individual Study Room

As in the picture right, users can bring book tracks into the room. When using book tracks please call the staff at the counter.

: Up to 240 minutes for one day.
　[Individual study rooms (for online job interviews)] 307, 308 : Up to 180 minutes for one day.

There are no soundproofing. Maintain a quiet environment by wearing a headset.

*WiFi (kitenet) is available in the library, but kitenet service does not guarantee constant operation. Depending on the user's environment and line congestion, communication speed may drop or connection may be difficult.

*If you do not show up at least 30 minutes after the start time without prior notice, your reservation will be cancelled.

*Windows must be closed when opened. Always raise the blinds after taking them down.

Use for Study

Kyushu University members can make a reservation for the purpose of studying on the website. The members can check the reservation status there.

If the host is a students' group approved by the official, please submit the 「学生団体公認申請書」. If the host is a private students' group, please submit「学生団体の概要」.

3. Other Facilities

Dr. Nakamura Tetsu Memorial Archive

The Dr. Nakamura Tetsu Memorial Archive is an exhibition space that features visual displays and video footages of Dr. Nakamura's work. This exhibition space, opened in March 2021, is located in Cute.Commons on the fourth floor of the Central Library. The key concept of this exhibition is to present Dr. Nakamura's first-person narratives in the forms of video footages, graphic images, timelines, and books. The glass screen on display features quotes chosen by a group of Kyushu University students who participated in the reading group of Dr. Nakamura's works.

Lounge

Beside the entrance, the bakery 'Doumu Cafe' is open.

Refresh Space

Refresh Space is located on 1F. It has a drink vending machine.
Users can eat and drink in this space. When using this space, please keep the area quiet and clean for the other users.

Audio Vidual Seats

You can watch degital media, such as video tapes, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs.
There are equiqqed 6 seats altogether. When using, users need a headphone and a remote controller. If you need them, please call the staff at the 3F counter.

Self-Check Machine

Self-Check Machine is equipped beside the copy & printer booth on 3F. This machine scans the bar code labels on books and makes the process of regular loan automatically.
*The application for some special loan (ex. long term loan) are accepted at the counter.
*The machine can scan the bar code label only on the bookcovers. If the bar code are labeled in between the pages, please come to the counter.

Sub-entrance

A entrance nearby BigSky (cafeteria) connects to the 4th floor on the Central Library. You can enter with your staff IC card. The entrance is not available for leaving. Entering ONLY.

4.Wireless LAN Network and Printing

WiFi（Kite-net）

You can connect to a network with your own PC or smartphone via Kyushu University mobile network system (*Kyushu University members only).

Self Copy and Print Machine

Cloud On-Demand Print
Once you upload the documents, you can print it out in the library copy machine.

Chromebook

Chromebook lending service is available.
To borrow it, please come to the counter and show your library card. You can use only inside the library. Please return it by closing time.

There is 1 unisex restroom on the 3rd floor and 2 on the 4th floor
