Open Access Week is a global event give an opportunity for the academic and research community to continue to learn about the potential benefits of Open Access, to share what they’ve learned with colleagues, and to help inspire wider participation in helping to make Open Access a new norm in scholarship and research.
This year's Open Access Week runs from October 24-30. The theme is "Open for Climate Justice".
What is the "Climate Justice" ?
Action or activism intended to ensure that efforts to mitigate the effects of climate change also address related social justice issues, such as the disproportionate projected impact of climate change on developing countries and the poor.(Oxford English Dictionary)

Addressing the climate change crisis and the resulting inequities requires rapid exchange of knowledge and collaboration across the boundaries of various communities.
The Open Access initiative to "make free availability of peer-reviewed scholarly research on the public internet" aims for equity as well as climate justice. It is expected to provide clues to solving various immediate issues, including environmental problems.
Why don't you take this opportunity to start by getting acquainted with Open Access?
