This collection comprises archival materials related to the Cabinet Research Office (Naicho), one of Japan’s principal intelligence organizations. The documents originate from the personal archive of Shigaki Tamiro (1922–2020), a founding member of the Office who later served as its Chief Executive.

This collection contains more than two hundred unpublished diaries, pocket planners, and notebooks kept by Saburo Okita (1914–1993), one of the most prominent postwar economists and economic policymakers of Japan.
Covering the period from the 1930s through the 1990s, these materials include minutes and notes from domestic and international meetings in which he participated in various official capacities, detailed schedules from his overseas missions, and extensive records of his discussions with key figures from around the world.

"行政改革会議" (The Administrative Reform Council) was established during the administration of Prime Minister Ryutaro Hashimoto as an advisory body directly under the Prime Minister. This collection consists of materials related to the Hashimoto administrative reforms, centered on the activities of the Administrative Reform Council, formerly owned by Hiroyasu Fujita (Professor Emeritus, Tohoku University), who served as a member of the Council and as chair of its Subcommittee on Institutional Issues.
