Books on military science held by the Ueda Family, the chief adviser of the Hiroshima domain. This collection mainly consists of documents on Kosho-Ryu (甲州流) military science, and also contains some images on castellation.

The Ueda Family
The chief advisers of the Hiroshima domain and grand tea masters of Ueda-Souko-ryu (上田宗箇流). The first Ueda Shigeyasu (上田重安(宗箇), 1563-1650) served Niwa Nagahide (丹羽長秀) and Toyotomi Hideyoshi (豊臣秀吉) as a good worrier, learned tea ceremony from Furuta Oribe (古田織部) and he was also outstanding as a landscape architect. His talent was handed down to his offspring. The Ueda family's documents are preserved in Ueda-ryu-wafu-do (上田流和風堂) and Mihara City Library, Japanese and Chinese old books are collected in Hiroshima City Central Library.
