The materials of the Takeya family, a medical family in Fukuoka, are held at the Central Library under a deposition agreement between the Takeya family and Kyushu University Library. The collection consists mainly of autographs and letters of Takeya Yushi, one of the founders of Kyushu University, and also includes many materials formerly owned by his father Mototate and his adopted son Takeya Suijo.
