Japan Center for Asian Historical Records （JACAR） digitalizes and provides access through the Internet to Asia-related records dating from the early Meiji era to the end of the Pacific War in the possession of important collecting institutions of pre-war official documents, The National Archives of Japan, Diplomatic Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and National Institute for Defense Studies of the Ministry of Defense.

researchmap is the only Web site that collects and provides scientific information on research institutes, researchers, research projects and research resources in Japan.

KAKEN covers research conducted with grants-in-aid for scientific research provided by Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) or the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, abstracts and articles, from academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, universities and other scholarly organizations.
