The internationalization of higher education progresses with a rapid increase of international students and introducing an international educational program, and more and more Asian students study abroad in the Asia. We held this symposium in the Kyushu University Central Library which opened on October 1st, 2018 as a central part of internationalization of Kyushu University. In this symposium, we introduced the attempts for the internationalization in Kyushu University and invited two experts from Thailand and Taiwan who gave a lecture on the advanced challenges to support the internationalization in their libraries. Fifty-six people from five countries participated in this symposium and exchanged opinions actively in the panel discussion. It was a good opportunity to deepen the understandings of the roles and purposes for university libraries to continue to be an essential part for the internationalization in the higher education.
