One of the world's largest citation databases, Scopus,
Reference Management Tool, Mendeley,
Research Performance Analysis Tool, SciVal
We will hold an online webinar for faculty, staff, and students on the above-mentioned research activity support tools, inviting lecturers from Elsevier Japan, the provider of the tools.
We will also introduce SciVal and the version upgrades since last year, so please join us even if you have joined the workshop in the past.

Program:
Scopus (14:50-15:30)
Scopus is the world's largest database of abstracts and citations covering more than 25,000 titles in science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and humanities.
It includes links to references and cited papers, as well as the ability to search for papers with common references.
Mendeley (15:40-16:20)
Mendeley is a free reference manager and academic social network that can help you organize your research, collaborate with others online, and discover the latest research.
It is available in a combination of a desktop version for Windows, Mac, and Linux, and a web version that can be used online from anywhere.
iOS (iPad and iPhone) is also supported.
SciVal (16:40-18:10)
SciVal enables you to visualize research performance, benchmark relative to peers, develop collaborative partnerships and analyze research trends.
It offers research performance data of 8,500 research institutions and 220 nations worldwide.
* You are welcome to attend only the sessions you wish.
* You are free to enter and leave during the session.

Preliminary Setup:
We recommend that you set up the tools in advance, as there are several parts in the workshop where you will actually operate each tool.
(Setup time will not be included during the workshop.)

Please refer to the following link for setup instructions. If you have any questions, please send them through the inquiry form,
then visit your nearest library between 9:00-17:00 on weekdays with your own PC. - SciVal
If you are using SciVal for the first time (and do not have an ID and password for other Elsevier products), please go to the following link and register in advance by clicking “Create account” in the upper right corner of the page. The ID and password for your personal account are the same as those for other Elsevier products(Scopus, Pure, ScienceDirect, Mendeley, ScienceDirect Reference Work).
