Collection includes many valuable books on German law (constitutional law, administrative law, and local government law) from the 19th and 20th centuries.
Personal collection by Dr. Ugata Masazo(1898-1979)
Dr. Ugata was appointed the first professor of administrative law at Kyushu Imperial University in 1924.
This collection is organized around the 19th and 20th century constitution, administrative law, and local autonomy.
Rare books such as Jean Bodin’s “The Method of History”(1650) are housed in the Rare Book Room.
