Former collection of Tsunejiro Sakurai, Professor of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, Kyushu Imperial University, and related books. Tsunejiro Sakurai devoted himself to the study of practical application of anatomy, giving lectures on art anatomy at Fudosha and Fukuoka Medical College, and attempting to produce anatomical model specimens by applying the Hakata doll making technique. He was an advisor to the Fukuoka Prefecture Gymnastics Association. Combined gymnastics and anatomy, and spread the name of "Sakurai style gymnastics" throughout Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, and North Korea. Includes rare materials such as gymnastics curricula of elementary schools, teacher training schools, etc., drafts of naval gymnastics manuals, and anatomical drawings for teaching gymnastics.
