[Design Lib] Historical Recordings Collection in Japan became available

Design

The service of Historical Recordings Collection (called Rekion in Japanese) is provided by the National Diet Library of Japan. It has digitized approximately 50,000 audio recordings from media such as SP records produced in Japan between 1900 and 1950, and has made them available for listening online.

Use

  • Service hours: 9:00–16:30 on weekdays
  • Apply to the service desk of the Design Library, and you can use the dedicated PC for listening.
    * You cannot bring the dedicated PC to other places within/outside the library.
  • Headphones: you can borrow ours and bring your own ones.

Contents
You can search audio recordings from the Rekion website, which has an English interface as well as Japanese.
