Kyonin Ikan Collection
This is the former collection of Tetsu Iwakuma, a medical historian from the Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Kyushu Imperial University.
Respecting Iwakuma's wish for the continuation and development of medical history research at the Kyushu University School of Medicine, the School of Medicine took over the collection of his books. Initially stored in the Department of Anatomy, the collection is now kept in the Rare Books Room, the Exhibition Room, and the Conservation Stacks of the Medical Library.
There are many valuable medical historical materials in Japanese, Western, and Chinese books.
