Announcement

On November 13, 2023, Kyushu University Library welcomed a delegation of 21 members of Phuket Rajabhat University led by PKRU Council Chair Somboon Suksamran. This visit was designed to learn about the activities of Kyushu University, which has a distinctive library and library and information science curricula.
The event began with a greeting by Hisao Takekuma, Deputy Director General of Kyushu University Library, and then a keynote presentation about the Department of Library Science and Research Data Management Services Human Resources Certification Program of the Graduate School of Integrated Frontier Sciences was given by Emi Ishita, Professor of Data-Driven Innovation Initiative. Librarians introduced an overview of the library afterwards.
During the tour of the Central Library, the visitors were divided into four groups, and librarians guided them in English. They listened intently to the librarians’ explanations and took pictures of the Central Library's facilities and equipment that meet various needs.
The lively opinions were exchanged in a friendly atmosphere, making it a wonderful experience for both Phuket Rajabhat University and Kyushu University Library.
