ESAKIA, Kyushu University Publications in Entomology is a journal published by the Entomological Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan. It mainly deals with papers on the systematics, taxonomy and biology of insects in Asian and Pacific areas. It is published once a year and is sent to 252 universities and institutions in 59 countries around the world, in addition to 92 domestic universities and institutions, as well as and main entomologists. In exchange for sending the journal, we receive about 500 materials comprising 251 foreign journals and 267 domestic journals, irregular journals and reprints from Japan. It is the main means of collecting information on insects in Asia for the Faculty of Agriculture, Kyushu University. The name ESAKIA is derived from the name of the first professor of the Entomological Laboratory of Kyushu University, Prof. Teiso Esaki. This database is related to another database file, KONCHUR, which is one of the files in a general entomology Database KONCHU constructed by the Entomological Laboratory, Kyushu University.
