Events, Design Members Public
Date
2026.06.29 〜 2026.07.07
Location

Reading Hall on the 1st floor, Design Library

July 7 is the day of Tanabata, a traditional Japanese summer festival. It originates from the tale of Orihime and Hikoboshi, a weaving princess and a male cowherd represented by the two bright stars Vega and Altair, respectively.

The Design Library has set up a Tanabata bamboo display in the Reading Hall on the 1st floor! You can write your wishes on a tanzaku paper strip and tie it to the bamboo until July 7, hoping that your wishes will come true. The library also provides origami paper, and you are welcome to make Tanabata decorations!
